Final Squirt In The Dirt
Green Brothers Racing will make a special promotional visit to Bathurst tomorrow (Thursday).
Green Brothers Racing are set to contest their final event of the 2011-12 sprintcar racing season at Dubbo this coming Saturday.
SA charger Trevor Green and the Natrad #S4 Maxim will contest the lucrative Diggers Cup race at the country NSW venue on April 21 which will bring down the shutters on a solid campaign that has featured the team travelling the length and breadth of the nation since early November.
Green will head to Dubbo in good form, having followed up his win in the Easter Trail round at Warrnambool with a third placing in the track championship grand final at Sydney Speedway last Saturday evening.
After qualifying eighth fastest out of a field of 45 cars, Green claimed fifth place in his heat to earn a start from position six in the A-main.
Green endured a poor start when he dropped back to 10th place at one stage, but ran home strongly to finish with a spot on the podium.
En route to Dubbo, Green will bring a touch of sprintcar racing to Australia's unofficial motorsport capital of Bathurst when he makes a promotional visit tomorrow (Thursday) to the city's Natrad franchise.
Green's car and transporter will be on display from 2-5pm at Natrad Bathurst situated at 95 Sydney Road, and an invitation is extended to anyone interested in checking out the team and taking the opportunity to chat with Trevor, a past Grand Annual Classic winner, multiple Sydney track champion and regular competitor during the off-season in America.
The Natrad pilot will also feature strongly in the second night's coverage of the Scott Darley Challenge on Fox Speed Channel this Friday night from 7pm ... an event in which Green finished an impressive overall fourth in the A-main which featured a star-studded field.

Easter Treat For Green
Green Brothers Racing finally enjoyed some overdue success during the final leg of the Easter Sprintcar Trail held at Sungold Stadium.
As rain played havoc with Sunday night’s program, SA charger Trevor Green was able to shine brightly and ultimately take the chocolates with victory in the 30-lap A-main.
In a testimony to the spirit of the track management and the loyal fans who braved persistent showers, the meeting continued into the early hours of Easter Monday, with Green displaying some of his best form of late as he worked to an overdue win in the Natrad #S4 Maxim.
Green jumped to an early lead over Victorian rival Jamie Veal, which became a decisive move, given a tricky and quick track surface following the rain.
The Two Wells charger remained out in front and led home Veal and fellow SA duo Daniel Pestka and Steven Lines, who took out the overall Easter series honors.
After a couple of disappointing runs in the preceding Easter rounds at Avalon and Borderline, Green quickly developed a liking for the damp Warrnambool clay, where he took out the Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic at his first attempt back in 1997.
After a second placing in his first heat, Green produced a stirring drive in his next outing, moving with great speed from 11th on the grid to finish third, signalling he was right in the mix to ultimately record his first A-main victory within a season which has produced 17 Top 10 finishes.
“I am really pleased to have finally cracked one ... it has been a bit of a tough run for us this season, but a lot of people have stuck with us” Green remarked post-race.
“We were unlucky to get caught up in a few things during World Series which didn’t help, and we worked pretty hard during our recent stint in Sydney to get the car how we wanted it.
“At least tonight we showed we are still on the pace when able to just go out and race with a free run.
“The car ran like it was on rails tonight, there was plenty of pace for us and I guess we found the conditions very much to our liking.
“It was certainly one of those nights you wish you could bottle.”
The victory enabled Green to finish in overall third place on the Easter Trail rankings.

Cool Runnings ... On And Off The Track
While the 2011-12 season may be winding down, Green Brothers Racing and the Natrad S#4 Maxim have been turning heads on the east coast ... both on and off the track.
Deciding to base himself in Sydney for a couple of weeks, Trevor Green has reacquainted himself with the Parramatta ‘clay way’, although wet weather has limited some racing time.
Last Friday and Saturday night featured the running of the annual Scott Darley $50,000 Challenge at Sydney Speedway, with Green flying the flag for SA among a field of some 50 nominations.
The Two Wells charger was the last car out to qualify on the opening night and timed 20th on a track which was going away.
Green completed Friday's program with a third placing in his heat before finishing eighth in the preliminary A-main.
After another third placing in Saturday’s heat race, Green started the Scott Darley Challenge final from position eight on the grid of 24 cars, and gradually worked through the field to finish just short of the podium ... running fourth behind Shane Stewart, Max Dumesny and Robbie Farr ... a result which displayed positives.
“We really came on strong towards the end of the race, but the car was too tight earlier on,” reflected Green.
“In short we struggled to find the right set up with the car but got it better as the weekend went on.
“We haven’t done much racing here in Sydney the past few years, but it was great to run two nights on a race track which was nice and wide and smooth with multiple lines, and minimal tyre wear.”
While in Sydney, Green has also been doing promotional work for Natrad, and recently visited the North Richmond branch.
The Maxim sprintcar was on display at the store during the week, while the popular SA driver popped in for a ‘meet and greet’ session one day which attracted plenty of attention, chatting with fans, posing for photos, answering a multitude of questions regarding speedway, and also conducting tours of the transporter.

Green Schedules Fast Finish
Trevor Green will be aiming for a successful end to what has been a mixed season of fortunes over his 2011-12 racing campaign.
The SA pilot recently returned from completing his World Series Sprintcars trail commitments, which concluded with yet another disappointing meeting in WA.
Following a major wreck in the penultimate round at Bunbury, a new #S4 Natrad Maxim chassis was put together for the final at Kwinana, but Green struggled to make an impression on the opening night, qualifying 14th and running sixth in a heat, due to what was later diagnosed as power steering problems.
Unfortunately it forced the team to miss a start in the B-main, thus forfeiting any hope of reaching the night’s feature event.
Green launched into the second evening of the WSS finale placed 18th on points with two heats to be run.
The second heat brought yet another setback, as starting from position seven, Green was caught up in a first corner crash, flipping the car and thus ending his WSS campaign with an overall ninth placing from the nation-wide series.
February 25 brought a return back to home base at Speedway City, where Green honored a commitment to drive for long time sponsor Ian Binding and Steve Wicks in the Jack Daniels Sprintcar Nationals meeting.
Binding has been a great supporter of Green Brothers Racing each and every year, dating back to the speedcar days of the late 1980s.
Green ran fifth and third in the heats, took seventh spot in the dash, before running eighth in the A-main.
Green Brothers Racing now intend to focus a majority of the remaining season on the eastern seaboard, running at Sydney Speedway for the next month.
The team has a rich history at the Parramatta venue, having claimed the track championship in 2003-03, 2005-06 and 2006-07.
“During this season we have raced extensively throughout Australia promoting the Natrad radiator brand, and due to a clash of dates, I haven’t been able to run in Sydney as much as I would have liked,” outlined Green.
“Thus we have made the decision to return to Sydney Speedway for the club show on March 3, and will stay around for the Scott Darley Challenge on March 16-17.
“We will also compete in the NSW title on March 24 ... it’s a race I have finished runner up on four occasions and would dearly love to have another crack at winning that particular championship.”
Following the stint in Sydney, Green will return to Speedway City for a club show on March 31, before the shutters come down on the season after contesting the 2012 SA championship at Virginia on Easter Sunday, April 8.
